The Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, through the Municipal Institute of Social Services, and credit institution Caja Madrid have signed today an agreement whereby the latter provides a special vehicle for transporting to be moved higher to day care centers or specialized assistance from the municipality.

At the signing ceremony were present, besides the council, Antonio Calderon, Deputy Mayor, Agustín Guillén, and the Coordinator of Caja Madrid in the Levant area, Jose White, among others.

It is a vehicle capable of social health for nine seats and also adapted for the disabled, as it has space for a wheelchair, whose cost amounts to 32,530 euros and is also the first vehicle of the City itself, because until This transfer date has been carried out by a concessionaire.

We are working to provide the best possible service to more of our town and this is just a bit more, assured the council, Antonio Calderon, who hopes that the fleet of such vehicles continues to grow in the future because collaboration of institutions such as Caja Madrid.

In this line of action for the elderly, Social Care Councillor also pointed out the program that opens today in 'Cinema, coffee and conversation' for seniors in the Cultural Center Luzzy Ramón Alonso.

OTHER PROJECTS SOCIAL CAJA MADRID

The Caja Madrid earmark 30 percent of gross profits to social work.
