Program Approach to Sports Elite (ADE) launched by the Department of Sports City of Cartagena, continued yesterday its activities with the visit of 6 pupils of primary schools Our Lady of Sorrows and Concepcion Arenal to Peinsa club BSR Union (Wheelchair Basketball).
It is the first time the club said that employs staff with players Paralympic world champions participating in the ADE, sports entity that is in the top national honor Division and shared track and grandstands with youth students.
During the meeting, the students had the opportunity to meet the installation Central Municipal Sports Pavilion, and then witnessed the training session of this elite club.
Then made a number of issues to the players and coach, Abraham Carrión, who showed that physical limitations are no barrier to participation in high-performance competitions.
Later, students took part in a practice session that included themselves sat in wheelchairs to experience the same sensations as athletes.
In conclusion, both the club and schools exchanged different souvenir gifts to pose finally a group photo with all stakeholders.
The Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez López closely followed this unprecedented session of the day and special day that was memorable for the young participants.
