Mayor Pilar Barreiro received this morning the president of the Federation of Parents Associations (FAPA) of Cartagena and Shire, Emilio Bernal, who has come accompanied by representatives of other APA's public schools throughout the Region of Murcia.
Barreiro Bernal attends to explain the details surrounding the upcoming meeting of associations of parents of students in the Region of Murcia, which takes place on Sunday 16 November at the Botanical Garden, El Albujón.
This meeting, explained Bernal, began last year in Lorca and will be inaugurated by President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, with a welcome by prior Mayor Pilar Barreiro.
This meeting provides for the participation of some 2,000 people, of which 1,200 will be about 800 parents and students.
The day will consist of a series of lectures and conferences on the quality of education and conclude with a fellowship meal.
Similarly, younger students have leisure activities on site of the Botanical Garden, while the elderly visit the Museum and the Teatro Romano de Cartagena.
The main objective of this meeting is to influence the necessary involvement of parents in educating their children for a better quality education.
