Cartagena will host this summer, between late July and early August, one of the four concerts of renowned pop bands that the cable television channel Music Television (MTV) issued in thirteen European countries over the next four years.
These concerts will be recorded in Cartagena, Mazarrón, Aguilas Murcia and other coastal town to promote tourism in the region.
The director of the Department, Pedro Alberto Cruz, presented this morning at a press conference this initiative, accompanied by the councilman of Tourism of the City of Cartagena, Javier Herrero.
The concert and broadcast ads will be in Spain, France, UK, Netherlands, Greece, Finland, Luxembourg, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Portugal and Germany, where it is estimated that about 32.5 million will people.
Targeting a radio formula, free concert called Murcia Nigth MTV for an expected attendance of some 35,000 people, was held at the plaza at the University of Cartagena.
