Calle del Carmen and the booths look to form the XXVII edition of the Book Fair Cartagena and will open this Friday 17 October.
Installation work began last week and municipal workers have been all weekend working on the assembly of the stands and the two alternative sites that are included in the offer of the fair: Pavilion of the Fair, in Icue square, and the Alternative Space, Soap on the street.
Just this week begin the decoration works of these two spaces, which will be the ones hosting the largest number of cultural and leisure activities during the Frankfurt Book Fair: encounters with authors, workshops, presentations, concerts, shows ...
The Pavilion of the Fair is a great space for about 200 meters inside which has been 'stay' the figure of Icue.
After this pavilion, there is another smaller space dedicated to the City Library, interconnected.
For its part, the alternative space is a low loan to the City for the fair and share activities with the Fair Pavilion.
The organization claims that everything is ready for Thursday institutions, libraries and publishers begin to equip the booths with their bibliographical.
In all, 38 booths, four institutions (City of Cartagena, the City of La Union, UPCT and General Directorate of Books, Archives and Libraries), two dedicated to the book signing and media, and 32 wherein they will Installed libraries and publishers.
In total, 41 institutions are participating in this Fair.
Institutional booths have been installed first, from the square to the church Icue del Carmen.
From this point, the stands are arranged in a row, in tranches of four, in the middle of the street, leaving the necessary space for security and emergencies and saving the ornaments of the road.
