Today uproot the XIX Meeting of Cultural Heritage, organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT), which will be released highlights those interventions carried out on the cultural heritage along Murcia last year.
After the official opening will take place at 17:00 at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, the day today discussed the rehabilitation of the building's east wing of La Milagrosa, which has become UPCT headquarters.
Later, at 18:30, will be familiar with work in Victoria Cave, 23 years of work under the direction of Prof. Joseph Hubert and by the paleontologist Luis Gubert Beotas.
The day concluded with the presentation of ICTI Project: fossil fish sites in the Region of Murcia, by paleontologists Ignacio Fierro and Gregory Romero.
The different papers included in the programming of this forum are just a selection of a broader set of interventions, monitored annually by the Heritage Service of the Department of Fine Arts and Cultural Assets, which may be consulted in the publication , by way of records will be provided to attendees, while you edit the final Reports for 2007.
Thus, the conference will become an open forum for discussion and exchange of ideas among professionals and the public for the conservation, restoration and enhancement of our heritage.
