A total of five boats, on board of which traveled 54 illegal immigrants were intercepted early today as a result of the operation was launched after detecting the presence of those near the Mediterranean coast.

The 54 immigrants who were in the five boats intercepted were taken aboard the coastguard vessel for shipment to the port of Cartagena.
As indicated, all are men, except three women reviewed, an Algerian national allegedly appeared to be in good health.
Of these illegal immigrants who were undocumented, there is apparently seven children.
The rest will be instructed by the National Police the relevant records back to their country of origin.
Following these interceptions at sea, all off the coast of Calblanque, Civil Guard held the surveillance operation which led to the location on the ground along this morning and within the municipality of Cartagena, nine others allegedly Algerians, all males, adults and in apparent good health.
These nine people were intercepted at two different places of Cartagena.
Specifically, four areas near the Mar Menor (near Los Belones and grandchildren).
The boat would have used these immigrants was found in Cala Huncar.
The other five were located in the La Algameca, which was also located a boat for the Helicopter Unit of the Guardia Civil.
Like other immigrants, these last nine will be made available to the National Police.
