The City of Cartagena, through its Service Occupational Health and Safety, has offered its nearly 1,300 public employees against the flu vaccination, in a campaign which will run from 7 to October 31, through services municipal physicians located in the building of La Milagrosa.
As explained Prevention Service sources, these vaccination campaigns have been taking place every year, and involve about 200 officers, but this year the number could rise given the virulence that is expected to have the three strains of virus, as announced from the Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community.
Officials who are vaccinated are usually included in the so-called irrigation groups, ie those aged 60 years or those prone to such diseases.
