The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, approached the enclosure festive night, after the closure of the Carthaginians and Romans Festival of 2008, to congratulate and thank the work of bodies and state security forces during their development and as the officials who compose the local brigades and the heads of the Federation of Festivals.
Barreiro noted this morning that this year the Festival had a sad ending and a sad development for the threat of rain, a circumstance that has caused a lot of work for municipal technicians.
Asked by journalists, Barreiro has indicated a possible change of dates for the holidays, the City Council will respect the decision taken by the Federation, with the sole limitation of not being developed while other large municipal events, for example with La Mar de Músicas if held in July, as there would be sufficient infrastructure to cope with both.
