The City of Cartagena, through the Department of Culture and Archaeological Heritage, organized in collaboration with the Councils of Alcalá de Henares, Barcelona Musealisation V International Congress on archaeological sites, which will take place from 24 to 27 November.
It is a biennial conference that has been done since 2000 and whose objective is the preservation and enhancement of archaeological sites, raising awareness of the actions taken at international level and their integration in cities in the XXI century.
Congress has already passed through the towns of Alcala de Henares, Barcelona, Zaragoza and Santiago de Compostela, with Cartagena the next venue.
Entitled Archaeology, historical discourse and the conference will address local paths in its fifth year on the sustainability of musealized fields, its value and a continuous assessment system, and the study of the limits of archaeological work in the spaces public.
The conference sessions will be held at the headquarters of the Polytechnic University in the Sea Wall, in two ways: lectures, with overviews of 60 minutes, and communications, with a maximum of 20 minutes.
Already developed the final program with the various presentations, communications and posters.
