Last Saturday was held at the port of Cartagena the XVII Swim across to the Port of Cartagena, proof squarely within the sports calendar of festivals scheduled in the Carthaginians and Romans and organized by the Federation troops and legions, the Department of Sports Cartagena and Swimming Federation of the Region of Murcia.
The test included the participation of 200 swimmers of all levels, with distances of 600 meters for the baby and juvenile categories and 1800 meters for the other categories, and with the departure and arrival at the Club de Regatas de Cartagena.
The overall ranking was led, in the men, by:
1 - Pedro Ramirez Foncuberta - AD Áncora
2 - Sergio Gomez Fuster - AD Áncora
3 - Raúl García Martínez - AD Áncora
And in the female category by:
1 ª - Paloma Dominguez Cabezas - AD Áncora
2 ª - Zaira Ortín Martínez - AD Áncora
3 ª - Elvira Sánchez García - AD Áncora
The awards ceremony was attended by Margarita Dominguez Cabezas, current European champion in 25 km open water, a representation of the Emergency Forces and the Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez López.
Also note the invaluable assistance of Eroski, Civil Protection and Fire, Club de Regatas de Cartagena, Port Authority and Port Yacht.
