On Monday September 22 there will be the presentation of the II Sustainable Mobility Awards for the City of Cartagena to companies and institutions that have been characterized by a firm commitment to sustainable development in the city.
For this edition, has been awarded to Alsa City, in recognition of the efforts in improving and modernizing its fleet of buses and the implementation of measures to promote public transport.
The second prize will be for the Agency for Energy Management in the Region of Murcia (ARGEM), as the institution has collaborated with the city of Cartagena in recent years in the implementation of efficiency project energy, mainly related to mobility (Bicity, Cabezo Mobility Plan Beaza, draft biodiesel in buses ...).
The third prize will be for the St. Nicholas Training Centre, a company Cartagena that has been actively involved in development activities such as eco-efficient use and driving cars and commercial vehicles.
The fourth of the prizes will go to the school Vicente Ros, which launched this past school year, an initiative of the collective hand of Vía Libre called to school by bike, trying to stimulate students to use the bike to go school.
This initiative seeks to expand to other schools in the municipality.
Finally, we present an award to Francisco Martinez Riquelme, more accurate user Bicity service, with a total of 217 applications since the service began operating.
In addition, the event will serve to make delivery of five electric bikes to each of the workplace aimed at municipal and urban transportation of municipal officials.
This inicitiva is included in the program + Bike, funded by the Ministry of Development.
Both deliveries will take place at 12.30 am in the Palace Hall.
