The councilman of Commerce of the City of Cartagena, Javier Herrero, announced a few weeks will sign a contract for work on the next phase of the Mercado de Santa Florentina, starting after expiry of these deadlines.
These works consist of the lining of the housing market, trusses cleaning, inspection of the basement structure, reform of the interior woodwork and lighting change, among other actions.
Javier Herrero has said that development works will be in tune with the daily market trading, so it will work evenings or weekends to avoid disturbing both merchants and their customers.
This phase is earmarked 200,000 euros.
Still missing the reform of the pavement and in regard to parking in the market, will be studied later.
