The Local Government Board has approved this morning two initiatives aimed at leisure and welfare of the elderly in the municipality.
They consist of the 'Over Film' and the extension of the bus pass over neighborhoods of Cartagena.
In the first case, as explained by the Councillor for Infrastructure, José Vicente Albaladejo, the program 'Over Film' will be launched in Cartagena, thanks to a collaboration agreement between the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, Municipal Institute of Social Services, Fundacion La Caixa and the entity Carceserna SL
Through this program, over 60 years living in Cartagena will be able to go to the movies for ten cents an entry one day a week.
This will help, as Albaladejo, expand leisure activities of this group.
In the second case, the older neighborhoods and Alumbres Vistalegre will be able to use the bus pass in urban transport, a proposal by the Social Care area will help improve the quality of life of older people.
