The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by the Councillor of Celebration, Florentina Garcia, has presented this morning the usual check to the president of the Federation of Carthaginians and Romans Festival, Anthony Madrid, to help deal with the conclusion of these festivities.
The president of the Federation has been accompanied by other members of its Board of Directors.
This year, like the former, the amount contributed by the City Council has been of 143,000 euros, with the difference that in this amount is not included, as in other years, the purchase of limiting spending, amounting to 30,000 euros, according to the mayor said later.
Apart from this money, the City is working with the parties, employing over a hundred people - 120 in particular - of the brigades and other municipal services that work in assembling and developing acts, regardless of the number of security and cleaning.
The Federation president, Antonio Madrid, thanked the contribution and commented that this support is a relief for the development of the holidays.
Today, the camp is almost completely assembled, almost 90%.
Subsequently, the mayor has gone to the Joint Committee Carthaginians and Romans, which was held at the Palace Hall, and the reporting of all details surrounding the celebration of this holiday.
