The City of Cartagena has been organized in collaboration with the St. Nicholas Training Course II Touring Driving Eco-efficient, which will make the 16th September (from 9:30 to 13:30), Center Youth Resources of Paseo de Alfonso XIII, coinciding with the start of the activities that have been programs for the European Mobility Week.
This course is aimed at training of drivers, tourism type efficient driving techniques, which can make fuel savings of up to 15%, a significant increase in the comfort of the vehicle, reducing emissions and noise levels, and improved maintenance of cars.
During the course presentation, Councillor for Infrastructure, José Vicente Albaladejo, stressed that the establishment of a model of sustainable mobility in the city of Cartagena is one of the main priorities of the government team, and the proof is major effort has been made in recent years in this field, as is the case for the improvement of road infrastructure, the recovery of pedestrian spaces, modernization and improvement of public transport, and incorporation of new systems of alternative mobility such as Bicity or share your car.
In this context, Eco-efficient driving courses Touring is one of the priority activities proposed in the new National Plan Savings and Energy Efficiency (E4) for the transport sector, in seeking to achieve the objectives proposed in the Strategy National Savings and Energy Efficiency in relation to reducing emissions of greenhouse gases and lower energy consumption.
The course will be taught by a group of specialized instructors of St. Nicholas Training Centre and is funded by the Agency for Energy Management in the Region of Murcia (ARGEM).
Will take approximately four hours and will have a theoretical and practical.
In the latter, used a fleet of special vehicles owned by the St. Nicholas Training Centre, which are equipped with a set of sensors capable of detecting the main parameters associated with the driving mode of each person, such as fuel consumption or emissions.
TIPS FOR BETTER CODUCCIÓN
To carry out effective leadership, not enough to take into account a number of simple rules, along with a change in attitude will lead to a new style of driving:
- When starting it is necessary to accelerate (in modern cars just turn the key).
- Use first start and move up as soon as possible to second (the first is the largest consumer gear)
- Acceleration and gear changes: In diesel engines between 1,300 and 2,000 rpm, and gasoline engines between 1,800 and 2,500 rpm
- Use more long marches, consume less (a fourth can go from 40 km / h fifth above 50 km / h)
- Anticipate driving speed to maintain as uniform as possible.
- In the deceleration must try to stop coasting in gear (slow down gently with the brake and slow down as late as possible, on the arrests and stops should not be reduced unless absolutely necessary)
ENDORSED BY EXPERIENCE SUCCESS
The realization of a second edition of Eco-efficient Driving Course is in large part to the excellent results obtained in that took place during the past year, the same dates.
In it, a total of 21 people and important results were recorded as follows:
There was an average reduction in fuel consumption of 12% (almost 1 liter per 100 kms.).
33% of students got the consumption down by more than 15% (more than 1 liter per 100 kms).
These figures represent a reduction of emissions of 1'95 kg of CO2/100 kms.
(Gasoline engine) and of 2.21 kgs.
of CO2/100 kms (diesel).
The extent of these practices to all the Cartagena could reduce emissions of 217 tms.
CO2.
