The Southeastern Association of Naturalists (ANSE) has been shown as the Regional Administration itself violates the environmental conditions imposed on itself by Environmental Impact Statements.
These facts are particularly serious when they occur within protected areas and are a grim example to society, the same association asks What moral force may be forced to developers or individuals to comply with the environmental conditions if the Administration the flagrant breach of even within Protected Areas?
Portman Road-Atamaria, five years without environmental restoration.
The works of the MU-314 (Portman Road-Atamaria) were implemented in 2003 through the heart of Regional Park "Calblanque, Monte de las Cenizas y Peña del Aguila" and causing a major impact on flora and protected space iberoafricana .
ANSE and allegations of environmental agents showed the works then failed repeatedly Environmental Impact Statement and the Regional Park PORN.
Once completed, the Environmental Impact Statement required the restoration of the area, a fact which was again met by the administration itself.
(BORM n º 101, May 3, 2000).
After several requests, in 2006, ASEAN held a symbolic planting of protest ( http://www.asociacionanse.org/noticiero-naturalista/not.asp?idnot=215832 ), which has had excellent results in the survival and development Plants of Sabina mora (Tetraclinis articulata) and Mastic (Pistacia lentiscus) (see photo attached).
With this symbolic planting has been shown that it is possible (and necessary) restoration of the slopes at an affordable cost.
In addition, vegetation restoration of the banks increase their stability, ensuring better conservation of this long-term public works.
For all the above, ANSE went almost a month ago to the current Minister of Public Works, Housing and Transport (José Ballesta) requesting him to give urgent instructions to restore the area next fall, as they have lost too many years.
Treatment Plant-La Isla Plana Azohía, "restorations" with invasive exotic flora.
Moreover, the Association has complained that the Ministry of Agriculture and Water has complied with the Environmental Impact Statement of the sewage treatment station of Isla Plana, La Azohía.
(Borman, n º 167 of July 22, 2005).
This WWTP is located in the vicinity of the LIC, SPA and the Regional Park of La Muela-Cabo Tiñoso, so as a condition for implementing the Directorate General of the Environment established the need for the restoration of the perimeter with native trees and shrubs a width greater than 5 meters.
However, instead of developing a real environmental restoration project has been carried out massive planting of an exotic and highly invasive plant from South Africa and known as "crespinillo 'and Carpobrotus.
The Association does not hesitate to qualify this restoration of "real fudge", as the Carpobrotus is considered one of the 100 most dangerous invasive species for the European project DAIS ( http://www.europe-aliens.org ).
Paradoxically, ANSE works, at present, with the WWTP Irrigation Cabezo Carpobrotus Beaza to eradicate from that treatment plant and replace it with native flora.
