Members and Civil Defence volunteers in Cartagena have been approximately 9,000 performances at the coast from Cartagena to launch the Plan of Supervision and Rescue in Playas on 1 June.
Of these, the most numerous have been referring to priests and first aid and social services field.
In point of rescue members and volunteers have been faced 299 rescue activities on the coast of Cartagena during the months of June, July and August.
Of these, 244 have been rescuing people, especially on the beaches of Entremares of Galúa and the Sirens, of which 153 have occurred only during the month of August.
In addition, we have had to rescue 18 ships.
Also noteworthy performances on social services (missing persons, assistance to disabled, preventative actions ...), with a total of 5,151 performances.
Of these, the most important for its high number of preventive actions have been (bathing bans, advice on tides ...), with 3174 performances, most of them in July and August and the beaches Calblanque, Entremares and Galúa.
In this area, are also relevant actions to assist the disabled, with a total of 120, mostly on the beaches of Los Nietos, Islas Menores, Mar de Cristal and Playa Honda.
In addition, there have been 187 ambulance service, a new Civil Protection service has launched this summer, and has been primarily used on the beaches of Zeus and smaller islands.
Over the entire summer quarter, Civil Protection has had to attend four people cardiorespiratory arrest and three, for immersion syndrome.
As priests and first aid, has been a total of 3,425 performances of this type, more than half of them in August (1782) and broadly related to allergies and minor wounds.
Finally, we must remember that the beaches rescue stations reduced from current 22 to 15 until 15 September, and from that date until September 30 to three.
