The City of Cartagena has been the charge, until 20 November, 14,082 in various taxes and receipts amounting to almost EUR 9,378,486.77.
These are receipts on business tax, the so-called stepping stones (Fee for entry of vehicles through the sidewalks and road reserves for exclusive parking, vehicle stops, loading and unloading of goods of any kind) and service charges for garbage and sewage in La Manga del Mar Menor for commercial premises.
Most of these receipts, 10,826, corresponding to the rate of Pasadena, which is expected to raise 908,951.06 euros, representing an increase of 820 bills from a year earlier.
The business tax receipts under 2,684, an amount of 8,343,975.04 euros, representing a 9.16% increase in receipts over the previous year.
All other receipts, 572, corresponding to rates of sewage and garbage from commercial establishments of La Manga del Mar Menor.
Sources of collection management Autonomous Agency of the City of Cartagena (OAGRC) explained that 30 percent of these receipts shall be paid by direct debits.
The agency has been doing this long campaign to promote direct debit of such taxes, which has helped to increase the standing orders by 2 percent compared with last year.
As was done last year, the voluntary receipts can be downloaded online through the website of OAGRC, at any time of day.
For the rest of the receipts, which are mailed to the homes of taxpayers, may be paid in offices, ATMs and services tax on the Internet Hall of the collaborating institutions: Cajamurcia, CAM, La Caixa and Cajamar can use the website to access them OAGRC.
To pay in cash, taxpayers must enter the keys contained in receipts.
Some ATMs have also been equipped with barcode readers which greatly facilitate the work and avoid errors.
The payment arrangements over the Internet have had a considerable increase in recent years and accounted for up to 10 percent of payments made through this system that is becoming increasingly used by taxpayers.
About 20 percent of all other payments are made using ATMs, and directly over the counter and the remaining 70 percent.
Finally, remember that the deadline for voluntary payment will end on November 20, 2008.
