The Department of Employment and Training, has signed a collaboration agreement with businesses Comoyre SL and Mounts European Industrial Maintenance SAU, to perform non-work internships for students in the courses that the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF ) taught in the National Center for Vocational Training in Cartagena, specializing in welding.
The general director of the Regional Employment Service and Training, Ginés Martínez, explained that "the objective of these internships is to complement the work not theoretical training with practical real contact with the business, which will be supervised by a tutor as well."
Students who pass welding courses may do internships in these two companies over a period of 300 to 500 hours.
The Department of Employment and Training provided in the framework of the training aid, the grant of up to 10.5 euros a day per working day for students who choose this form of practice.
Martinez stressed that "the signing of these agreements in addition to those already established with Repsol, Sabic Plastic, Energy AES Cartagena, Aquagest through which about 25 students did their practice with more than 12,500 hours of training in 2007."
Mount SL Comoyre company, is headquartered in Pozo Estrecho (Cartagena) and is dedicated to the manufacture, assembly and installation of metal structures, installation, repair and maintenance of ships and the construction and repair of all types of tanks, reservoirs and containers of metal.
For their part, European Industrial Maintenance SAU, located in Cartagena, devotes its activity to the maintenance and assembly plant and marine industries, especially in refineries and shipyards.
