A dream revealed the path that had to channel his artistic vocation.
Since 1990, Italian Ennio Marchetto comes walking in venues around the world given its unique quick change, achieved only through paper costumes.
And was scheduled for two years in the Theater of the Sea festival, but transportation problems are canceled his performance.
Cartagena will come tomorrow, Tuesday July 5 and will become in 45 different characters throughout the hour of his show.
Madonna, Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, Barbara Steisand ...
are some of the personalities who assumes the Italian artist on the scene.
The performance will be at 22:30 pm in the Auditorium Park Towers.
No need for props, and backed only by a soundtrack, Marchetto performs all transformations on stage.
Using the same costumes, and carrying superimposed as if it were a mask, folded and unfolded surprising viewers and allowing it to adopt a new personality in seconds.
Normally, choose those characters you like and that are easily recognizable to the public.
Marchetto defines the show as a "creative transformations, because it has more humor and irony that others of this kind."
According to the artist who has performed for five consecutive years at the Edinburgh Festival, the proposal is not intended to humiliate the characters, but give a surrealistic idea of them, exaggerating their strengths and weaknesses.
Marchetto is not a drag queen or a transformer to use.
Its originality lies in the speed with which changes (within seconds) and that have been crafted costumes made by himself ... on paper.
Rather than opt for the classic costume, Marchetto has chosen the two dimensions in the design of their costumes, which are a kind of apron over a dress.
And most importantly, ensures a fun time in style.
In each show, the artist looks no more and no less than 50 guises, but their repertoire is much broader.
It currently has a total of 200 different characters, each with its corresponding costume.
For his trip to Spain has included a few national celebrities such as Montserrat Caballé, the Eurovision Rosa or a clever dress menina de Velázquez, but has a long list that goes by Elvis Presley, Elton John, Britney Spears and Gloria Gaynor
