Last Wednesday was held in the pool at the Casa de la Juventud the closure of the swimming courses for the month of July organized by the Department of Sports City of Cartagena.
During the event, as usual, the councilman, Alonso Gómez López, proceeded to the presentation of diplomas and gifts to the participants on this specific occasion, the morning shift.
The summer campaign is being developed with the same degree of participation than in previous years, with all groups and levels fully occupied, highlighting the kids and initiation levels, ie those of younger ages (3 to 10 years), there has even been to increase the initial offer, due to high demand.
The total number of participants is around 850 for the two pools, House of Youth and Pozo Estrecho.
To these we must add to all those who use such facilities, their staff and are not mentioned in the tender, being very specific programs of social partnership.
Thus, in July we will have crossed a thousand users.
The personnel carrying out various educational programs, lifesaving guards and maintenance of facilities is essentially personal and professional staff assigned to the Department of Sport and Sport Patronato Municipal, reinforced by personnel hired specifically for this purpose.
The courses begin in August today, is also expected a high turnout in them.
