The councilman of Social Care and vice president of the Municipal Committee of Action on Drug Addiction, Antonio Calderon, Juan Jimenez, Regional Coordinator of Drug Autonomous Community of Murcia have submitted in Mar de Cristal campaign activities Búrlalas.

BURLALAS, is an awareness campaign to prevent alcohol and other drugs in the summer.

Is performed as a continuation of the activities of the Drug Addiction Prevention Program developed by the Regional Ministry of Citizen Services, Health Planning and Drug Addiction, the Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, starting again for the summer, an intervention in coastal areas of the Region.

It is intended to help prevent alcohol abuse and the risks associated with consumption especially in young people, highlighting values such as those were two characters in the history of our region, Isaac Peral, the inventor of the submarine and Ricardo de la Cierva, inventor of autogyro.

These characters, in a time of difficulty, they succeeded with their effort, study and enterprising attitude, perseverance, patience and pride, social scientific and laudable.

Keeping alive these values gives young people the opportunity to reflect on his future project: "What you can be", it becomes a fun-reflective activity within this campaign.

It also wants to raise awareness among families, youth and the general public about the importance of developing values and attitudes that promote a healthy lifestyle, rejecting the abuse of alcohol and consumption of snuff and other drugs.

The campaign is aimed at families, youth and general population located in coastal areas of the Region of Murcia.

The campaign objectives are based on the information to the general population and especially young people about the need to develop values such as effort, study, perseverance, patience, pride, etc.. As a strategy for prevention drug use in youths.

Raising families to motivate the development of these values in young people.

The campaign will be conducted within the City of Cartagena, on the beaches of Entremares in La Manga, Mar de Cristal with yacht club, yacht club with Minor Outlying Islands, The Promenade grandchildren and Los Urrutias beach with civil protection.
