The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the councilman of Youth of the City of Cartagena, Javier Herrero, visited the Field of Social Action Work begins this year with its first edition.
Veronica Lopez also went to the Environment Labor Camp, which celebrates its tenth edition and is also located in Cartagena.
Work Camp for Social Action of Cartagena, unique in the region, aims to involve young people in everyday social realities of the municipality.
This would be pursued through various activities such as animation own contexts to social exclusion, educational workshops and explanatory AIDS, restoring local social use (home of a non-profit as well as shelter for immigrants ) and support for people with physical disabilities.
The activities, aimed at leisure, will also have a strong social component.
In this way young people spend their free time in multicultural dance workshops, a petting workshop, a talk on human rights and opportunities for dialogue to share experiences.
Also planned are tours to the various museums in the city of Cartagena, archaeological remains and the old town and the surroundings of the town.
In addition, concerts will be organized tours of 'The Sea Music', whale watching aboard a sailboat, creative workshops, social evenings, sports activities, games and water activities.
19 young people in Spain are already in the field of Social Work of Cartagena, which began on 14 July and will close on the 28th.
Participants come from Andalusia, Asturias, Canarias, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid, Basque Country and Murcia.
The accommodation of young people and monitors are located in the municipal youth hostel located on Main Street Quarry.

Is also held in Cartagena from July 16 to 30 a Field Work Environment in which 26 young people from almost every point of Spanish geography, Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla La-Mancha , Cataluña, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Navarra and the Basque Country.
Young people are aged between 18 and 26 years.
V edition of Intercultural Work Camp Torre Pacheco
Also, this morning the director of the Institute for Youth accompanied by Youth Councillor Torre Pacheco Araceli Martinez, visited the Intercultural Work Camp Torre Pacheco which this year celebrates its fifth edition.
This initiative welcomes a total of 14 youths, aged between 18 and 26 who come from different regions: 1 in Andalusia, 1 de Asturias, Castilla y León 1, 3 de Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia 1, 1 Galicia, 1 in La Rioja, Madrid 1, 2 and 2 Basque Country Valencia.
Work Camp started last July 16 and will close its doors on 30th of this month.
The main objective of the Labor Camp Torre Pacheco is to stimulate and encourage cultural exchange raised from values of coexistence and solidarity and cultural exchange.
The activities have been raised in collaboration with other young members of associations and groups involved in social and cultural activities of the municipality of Murcia.
These activities will include the exchange of different experiences with other young people from Torre Pacheco involved in social initiatives, will also think about other activities designed for these socio-cultural groups themselves, as well as the development of animation techniques, various workshops such as drama, animation Street and animation resources free time
