Veronica Lopez, director of the Institute for Youth, has visited the area of work taking place in Cartagena, organized by the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia in cooperation with the city of Cartagena.
During the visit has been accompanied by the councilman of Youth, Javier Herrero.
Work Camps are a particular form of volunteer service, namely the realization of selfless work of a project that reverts to the benefit of the community, and among the participants developed values such as solidarity, tolerance, participation and teamwork.
The delegation has visited the Social Local Lo Campano, participants of the Field of Social Work is developing between 14 and 28 July.
In total there are 17 young people from different parts of Spain, participating in various activities related to the animation in his spare time with children and youth in the neighborhood I Campano, restoration of local social utility, support for people with disabilities assisted with beaches disabled and other activities covering different areas of social action.
Subsequently been transferred to the port to visit the Environmental Working Countryside, whose members, 26 young people in total participating in the project Posidonia, with the recovery and maintenance of vintage sailboat Else, as well as cleaning of coasts and beaches.
This area of work develops between 16 and 30 July and participants will also collaborate on other projects such as preparation for Nursery and Environmental Education Center and other archaeological excavation Historic Site Cartagena Sandstone Quarry.
