Councillors Social Care, Antonio Calderon, Infrastructure, José Vicente Albaladejo, and Tourism, Javier Herrero, presented this morning in Playa Honda one of the six points available to the bathroom with this summer that have disabled people in other many beaches along the coast of Cartagena.
As well as Playa Honda, the points are located in Los Urrutias, Los Nietos, Islas Menores, Mar de Cristal, La Manga, in the area of Entremares.
Each of the points are equipped with amphibious wheelchairs, crutches and bathroom vests.
The facilities also have changing rooms and toilets, where there are couches, and a shadow point exclusive for use by the disabled.
Access to water is guaranteed through a barrier-free walkway.
Each point is properly marked, both on the road and in the post itself.
The families of the disabled are the operators in their bath time.
To do this, you must request a key to the post of Civil Protection is next, and once the service is returned to the same place.
Thus, the points accessible bathroom can be used at the same time that the opening of positions for Civil Protection, 11 to 19 hours.
Accessible points began operating last July 1 and will be used throughout the summer.
Each of the bathroom stalls cost about 40,000 euros.
The City Council has given this year, three seats to the Red Cross.
