The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and the councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, have received this afternoon at the Palace Hall, 40 Saharawi children, from the refugee camps of Tindouf, which is on holiday in Cartagena, welcomed for 36 families in the municipality.
The children have been accompanied by their host families and monitors who care for them during their stay in the municipality.
The forty are part of the 153, aged between 8 and 12 years of age who have been taken this summer in the Region of Murcia, where they arrived on July 1 and remain until September.
