The new primary care clinic in Los Belones was opened this morning by the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, and the Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, after a year of work.
Built on a municipal solar and 1,700 square meters with an area of 392 square meters, its construction budget was just over 380,000 euros.
It has two GP consultations, doctor and two nurses, including the treatment room.
It also has a living room for health staff, toilets, reception administrative, warehouse, lobby and waiting room.
The Minister of Health has stressed that this new office will have data network that will incorporate medical record and will service appointment, so that users avoid having to physically move their trials from one place to another.
This computerization is being extended to all clinics and primary care centers in the municipality of Cartagena.
The new office will address the health needs of the population of Los Belones, which until now had medical clinics, pediatrics and nursing, Monday to Friday morning.
