The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and the Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios were in charge of laying the first stone of the primary care office of The Albujón, which are attached more than 2,300 health insurance cards.
The center will rise on the same site occupied by the old office, which has been demolished.
Have an area of over 340 sq meters distributed in plant and it is anticipated that construction of the new building, situated at Captain Cortes, completed in March 2009.
The center belongs to the basic health area, Pozo Estrecho Cartagena and will have capacity to serve a population of 5,500 inhabitants.
The new facility will have a lobby, reception, treatment room, two family medicine clinics, a pediatric (nearly 500 affiliated are under 14 years), and two nursing visits, provided with all their waiting rooms.
The remaining units are filled with people rooms, file, store and toilets.
The Ministry of Health will invest a total of 400,095 euros in the work and staffing of the center, while the City of Cartagena will provide 375,683 euros for the work.
The center has 2 family medicine clinics, 1 and 3 pediatric nursing (nursing one for children), as well as reception and administration area and 3 modules waiting rooms.
This new office of The Albujón is in addition to already being built in Isla Plana and which will open next Monday in Aparecida.
The City Council and the Community also have three other office projects on his list: that of the trough, whose construction will begin this year, and La Palma and El Llano del Beal, whose launch is planned for construction next year.
The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, has indicated that the goal of counseling is to bring healthcare to all citizens, so that where there could be a health center has built a clinic with the right conditions.
