The Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena has published the book 'The other Spanish language', Ginés Céspedes Noguera, a publication containing a selection of the 2,600 verbal idioms or phrases in the figurative sense, the most popular Spanish language, essential for good knowledge of spoken language.
This morning was presented by the author and the Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez, who joined a friend for years.
Céspedes noted that since he has always felt a fondness for languages (he is professor of English) and this led him to believe that the Spanish had a sublanguage 'secret', full of idioms and phrases with special meaning.
Since then and over the years has collected more than 7,000 idioms, though in the book have been selected those that are used throughout the country.
The publication, which will be available in all libraries Cartagena, can be very useful to all those who are learning the Spanish language and those who are curious about it.
