Municipal Athletic Track hosts the next Saturday, July 5, the XXII Trofeo Cartagena City Athletics, a national meeting which will bring together the best athletes in regional and nationwide, as Cristina Barcenas, Gladys Stephen Rafael Baraza, brothers or Caridad Hernández Gómez Peña.
Despite the change in its usual date (usually held on the Wednesday), the trophy will continue to maintain the high turnout of recent years, bringing between 150 and 180 participants in 15 different tests.
The first trials will start at 19 pm and, following the philosophy of the championship will be awarded to sporting performance.
Thus, as explained Juan Alfonso, UCAM Athletics club coach Cartagena, establishing prizes for first (300 euros), second (150 euros) and third place (100 euros) in each of the tests.
The tests will see this Saturday at the athletics track will be the 100, 200, 400 and 800 meter dash, 110 meter hurdles, long jump and shot put, discus and javelin.
To participate in each of them, the athletes have overcome a low mark during the past two seasons.
