Team spokesman Joaquin Segado Government announced this morning during the plenary session of the municipal corporation that on Wednesday June 25 is scheduled to meet at the Ministry of Development, convened by Renfe at the request of the City of Cartagena, to discuss the burial AVE line in Cartagena in its final stretch.
Mowing that day explained that know the technical solution has been given to the burial of this road as it passes through the city, but the City Council consider that the AVE has to get to the train station so underground, you can not see and not hinder the growth of the city to the extension of Paseo Alfonso XIII and I think that we agree with Renfe, said the spokesman.
This announcement was made as a response to the motion filed by Citizens Movement with regard to the abolition of the Talgo train Cartagena-Montpellier and in seeking to require a commitment from the government to tell the port city by train with modern communications.
Mowing has stated that the removal of the train reflects the fact that the number of users since its launch has been a day, and since the government team is betting heavily on rail infrastructure in the region, both passengers and freight.
