The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, received this morning, along with the Councillor for Tourism, Javier Herrero, the new president of the Hospitality Association of Cartagena (Hostec), José Antonio Nieto, accompanied by members of its board.
The meeting served to lay the groundwork for closer collaboration between the association and local and regional institutions, so that work seamlessly on issues of interest to the region of Cartagena.
In addition, among other issues raised in the meeting, discussed the improvement of LVEF as an agile, fast and clean that connect the peoples of the region of Cartagena, and the future Tourist Qualification Center (CTC) whose land, municipal and located in sector 1 of CC1, will be transferred shortly to the Ministry of Tourism.
In this sense, Hostec wants to participate in this project Qualification Center, a center that would be a new impetus to the hospitality of the region.
Nieto has also stressed that, although the crisis has been felt in the hospitality industry, will take at least 2,000 skilled workers for the summer.
In this new stage directors, Nieto stated that one of the main objectives will be to get a hotel quality, quality of life both for employers and employees, and quality of service.
