The Ministry of Tourism and Consumer Affairs will provide a sports complex to the south of the Mar Menor and to that end has made an investment of 600,000 euros, granted in four installments, which will add to the endowment of 300,000 euros provided by the Consortium del Mar Menor.
The work of the sports complex tourism 'Mar Menor' are being developed in a municipal lot located on the outskirts of Playa Paraiso, and will serve the urban environment, including Cabo de Palos and Los Belones, as well as visitors the southern part of this salt lake is unique in Europe.
This action is included in the Plan of tourist infrastructure and equipment and adds to other interventions also led to the development of the Mar Menor area, such as building parks, road safety or the development of a bicycle lane in the demarcation of San Javier.
To provide a quality service focused on tourism, the future sports center will include a football field with artificial turf, an outdoor sports court, two paddle tennis courts, plus a changing room service, gym and canteen, a storage for water sports and a space designated for offices.
The complex, which is very close to the beach, have an enclosure that separates the plot from the coast, for the convenience of users.
