The older members of the 40 clubs in Cartagena and its township, about 1,300 participated in the coexistence Wednesday organized by the Municipal Social Services, through the program over the City of Cartagena, on the occasion of the closing workshops developed for more free time during the course 2007 / 8.
These workshops, which have wide acceptance in the group of older participants have offered the most varied activities such as cultural visits, crafts, theater, hiking, ballroom dancing, folk traditions etc.
The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderón, accompanied by the Director of the Municipal Institute of Social Services, Antonio Manuel Mula, attended the activities organized and lived with all attendees.
The first prizes in the dance contest were representatives of the Club Perín first, followed by Santa Ana Los Belones and special mention was given to participants of La Manga Club and a dozen runners-up.
Throughout the day the participants enjoyed various games and activities such as bowls and board games and enjoy a 'spectacular paella', all enlivened by the musical group 'Cavite'.
The Diabetic Society of Cartagena and the Red Cross assisted in the measurement of blood glucose and participants.
