Last October started the 2007-08 edition of Time Box, an innovative initiative of the Department of Youth and Social Care, jointly developed with six town's social organizations, has since 2004 joining forces to enhance a sense of responsibility for the young to their environment, and the rapprochement of these participants to other resources that may be of support and guidance in their transition to adulthood.
In this call again have covered all the places available, having been involved in a stable 110 young people from areas of the Historic, Los Mateos, Lo Campano, Santa Lucia, Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood, San Antón and José María neighborhood pf.
All of them have spent over 6,300 hours performing community work over the past eight months he has been editing longer time.
This has enabled the participants have helped solve small daily needs of their neighborhood and the people who live with them, among which include the following:

-Painted local public utility in the areas of Los Mateos, Lo Campano and St. Lucia: IES Bastarreche, CEIP Nuestra Señora del Mar, local social of the three districts, San Pedro Asylum Shop Foundation, CEIP Hasdrubal, etc.
Its contribution to community life through work has also been rewarded with a 'credits' by those who have been able to acquire goods and services of interest to young people participating in a network of shops and establishments collaborators: music, clothes, telephones, sporting goods, food, books, alternative leisure activities, etc.
Another key element is the link project, which is consolidating, with comprehensive advisory service 'Youth Space'.
Thus, the professionals who make up this multidisciplinary team have organized various activities with the young participants of the neighborhoods, offering workshops on health and sexual education, employment guidance, institutional resources, among other topics.
In addition, some participants in the Time Box have also received individual attention from the municipal officers with whom they have established a route to employment in order to facilitate the empowerment of youth.
To put finishing touch to the experience in recent months, participants in all regional areas have organized a big party to celebrate the end of the year, which will take place Friday June 6 at the Plaza of the Dressmakers, Los Mateos.
Thus, from 18:30 hours and during the afternoon, attendees can enjoy the many attractions bouncy dance workshop of Latin rhythms and, especially, the foam party.
