Councillor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, Rosario Montero, and the Director General of Fine Arts and Cultural Autonomous Region, Enrique Ujaldón, will open tomorrow Friday 6th June, the exhibition 'The Islamic ceramics in Murcia: Lorca materials. "
The event will take place in the temporary exhibition hall of the Municipal Archaeological Museum 'Enrique Escudero de Castro' at 11:30 hours.
The exhibition was developed in 2007 by the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Lorca, and is now in 2008 when the Service of Museums and Exhibitions of the Autonomous Region has become to be housed in the Archaeological Museum Network, to disseminate knowledge of these productions ceramics and the archaeological context of medieval Islamic accounting.
The exhibition includes fifty pieces selected for over twenty years of excavations in the city of Lorca.
The traveling of this exhibition is completed with the publication of a catalog, training materials and additional workshops.
The exhibition will last until next July 10 with the following schedule:
Tuesday to Friday: 10 to 14 and 17 to 20 hours
Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 14 hours
