PEER Programme, an initiative of the Department of Sports, Education, Youth and Social Care, with support from the Directorate of Integration of Immigrants, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, returned to the neighborhoods of Cartagena for the second consecutive year to promote the meeting of youth and adolescents from different cultural realities that coexist in certain areas of the city, through leisure activities and leisure-related sport and culture.
Again, the neighborhoods of San Antón, New Cartagena, Private Mediterranean and the Algar will be the policy areas of the program, with activities for young immigrants and natives from 10 to 18 years.
The schedule of implementation of these activities is tailored to the participants, either of them from Monday to Friday evenings or during weekends.
Colleagues This year the program is included in the municipal activities to mark the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue.
For this second edition, as well as workshops that have been made since last year have included two new activities: a workshop of graffiti and urban culture, to be held in San Anton, and the theater workshop in El Algar.

Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez, explained that last year 252 youths (158 Spanish and other immigrants, mainly Moroccans) participated in the activities of this program and this year, and currently, there are already 115 young participants, 64 of them Spanish.
