The Department of Education opens next Monday, June 9 formalization within registration to participate in the 'Summer School', 'Colonies Musical' and 'Summer Driver Education', the three programs of organized activities for the month of July, in order to provide children between 5 and 16 alternative leisure in the holiday period.
The period ends on 19 June.
The convening of this year has been very successful.
Nearly a thousand children have tried to get one of nearly 700 seats that were offered for the three programs.
Thus, we have had to enable a reserve list which will be including more than 200 children who were left out of programs.
With regard to the Summer Schools, which have been operating since the early 90s, will be developed throughout the month of July in the morning hours Monday through Friday, from 09:00 to 14:00 the novelty this year, to expand the schedule as an option, with an animation workshop from 08:00 to 09:00 hours.
Are aimed at children aged between 5 and 12 years (organized into two groups, one from 5 to 8 years old and a 9 to 12).
For the Summer Schools will be available 500 seats, ninety more than last year, and sixteen participating schools around the county, when it proposed a number of workshops, sports, dance, animation, etc .- with the theme of the Olympics as its centerpiece.
The company OD (Guidance Sports) is responsible for organizing these workshops.

The second performance is scheduled this summer for the Colonies Musical, to be held in Garden City schools and Virgen del Carmen, between January 1 and July 15 in time from 9.00 to 13.00 pm, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of a theater workshop 13.00 to 14.00 hours on a voluntary basis, and also another option from 08'00 to 09'00 hours.
This is the fifth edition of the Colonies, which are aimed at a total of 150 children aged 4 to 11 years, forming two groups, one of 4 to 5 years and another 6 to 11 years.
For two weeks will enjoy playing, discovering, interpreting and living the music in all its forms, including dance.
The course ends with the celebration of the Festival 'music family', where children will demonstrate what they have learned in a family concert open.

As the last performance, road safety education in summer, is the third year that takes place and will be held in the Children's Traffic Park in Cartagena, Angel Bruna street, using his classroom theory sessions, and road circuit for practical sessions.
The recipients are children and young people aged between 9 and 16 years who have their card rider, carried out from May 1 to July 31 inclusive, from 10am to 12 hours.
Will be 28 children and youth who participate in this training activity.
