The City of Cartagena, through the People's University, has organized the III Course of Introduction to the identification and study of birds, SACRE Program (Near Bird Monitoring), within the activities of Nature Workshop.
The course will be held at People's University of Cartagena, in a classroom session on Friday, April 11th from 20:00 to 21:30 and on Sunday April 13 with a field trip.
The Nature Workshop is a hands-on training activity that takes place throughout the school year all the Friday night and weekends.
The workshop has the support of the Southeastern Association of Naturalists.
The course objectives are, first, start training people interested in the conservation and study of birds and, secondly, to inform and facilitate collaboration in the program SACRE of the Spanish Society of Ornithology.
The contents are based on identifying the most common birds of Murcia, as well as in the program SACRE and its importance in the conservation of birds in Spain.
Responsible for delivering the course will be Antonio Jesús Hernández Navarro, Biologist, Research Secretary ANSE-Cartagena and Murcia Regional Coordinator SACRE program.
