The Local Government of the City of Cartagena has given its approval to two projects of the Directorate General of Water of the Autonomous Community of Murcia for the construction of sewage collectors in the Azohía and El Algar and whose works will involve an investment of around 2.1 million euros.
The El Algar, with an investment of 1.5 billion euros, consist of the construction of a collector who will collect wastewater from El Algar, El Llano, El Beal and the Strait, which now goes to the purification of El Algar, and will push the sewage treatment plant south of the Mar Menor, located in the vicinity of Villas Caravaning.
The draft Azohía has an investment of 600,000 euros and will include the construction of a collector who will lead the wastewater of the town, next to the San Ginés Chapineta and, to the treatment plant being built near of the Rambla del Canar.
