The Minister of Tourism and Consumer Affairs, Jose Pablo Ruiz Abellán, accompanied by Councillor Decentralization of the City of Cartagena, Nicolás Ángel Bernal, the head of the Coastal Authority, Ministry of Environment in Murcia, Francisca Baraza, General of Ports and Costs of the Autonomous Community, Francisco Marín, and the director general of the Cartagena Litoral, Gabriel Ruiz, opened on Thursday, 29th of May, the first phase of the promenade that runs from the Paseo de La Barra, in the Port of Cape de Palos Cala Reona direction.
This is a sea lane stretch of 230 meters long and an area of 1,600 square meters, equipped with furniture and children's play areas, carried out on the ride existing public land and respecting the buildings.
Its width varies from 4 to 10 meters depending on the section
The work has had a budget of 700,000 euros has been around and its implementation has been about six months.
This work is part of a larger project that will connect Cabo de Palos with the beach Cala Reona, allowing space travel with cliffs and beautiful landscapes, serving in turn the dual function of improving accessibility to the coast and serve as a transition between urban and natural environment.
The event will take place at noon, in the Paseo de la Barra.
