The Forum on Information Society in the Region of Murcia, SICARM - Citizens technology demonstrations, returns this year to Cartagena for four days from 24 to 27 April in the Plaza José María Arts, to make known to visitors the latest in the world of new technologies, photography workshops and digital video, competition WII, PS2, PS3, conferences, conference, video conferencing, exhibitions and puppetry, from a wide range of activities.
The presentation of this conference, organized by the Municipality and the Ministry of Economy, Enterprise and Innovation, has been made by the Deputy Mayor and General Coordinator of New Technologies, Agustín Guillén, and the head of the Data Processing Center of the City of Cartagena, Miguel Rodriguez.
Agustin Guillen wanted to highlight the purpose of this forum, aimed at encouraging the public to the diffusion of innovations in technology, with shops, leisure and conferences free access.
At the end of the course will obtain a diploma certifying their accomplishment.
The opening of the tent of New Technologies Workshops will be held on Thursday 24 April at 11:30 hours and ends on Sunday 27, at 19 pm with the awards ceremony of the competitions.
The tent has an area of about 250 square meters, with 34 computers connected to the Internet for conducting case 6 workshops attended by trainers.
These workshops will focus on Internet, digital photography, digital video, installation of computers and virtual world and each will be given up to 4 courses of 45 minutes duration, aimed at users with different skill levels.
There is a zone of free navigation on the Internet, eCommerce and eGovernment.
For its part, the workshop offers a leisure and entertainment area with ten Wii games, five Playstation 3, and four Playstation, which will be held, upon registration, PS2 competitions for children and the general public, family competitions and championships PS3 Wii, in which two competing teams of one adult and one child each in sets of tennis, bowling, golf, etc.
The workshop also editing and retouching of photographs shows how to take a picture with a digital camera, how to record on the computer and how to retouch.
As for the editing and production studio video explains in a simple and intuitive how to do a video with a digital camera, is recorded in the computer and mounted with voice and music.
Both workshops will be divided into three levels-starter, intermediate and advanced level, "for users with different expertise.
Another workshop, called "This pileup so complicated ', explains in a practical way how a computer is assembled and placed its major components, and a workshop on the Virtual World introduces visitors to the 3D world.
CONFERENCE, SYMPOSIUM, CONTESTS AND PUPPETS
The Palace Hall this weekend will host a series of conference-Symposium on New Technologies and the Internet, at 19:30 pm in the Ceremonial Hall.

Another activity that provides SICARM are various competitions to encourage participation of citizens.

For the little ones represent a puppet play of 'The family Mursiya' with issues related to Internet and Information Society, on Thursday 24th and Sunday April 27 at 12 pm in the Plaza City Hall.
RECYCLING TECHNOLOGY EXHIBITION
Carp Technology Demonstrations SICARM-Citizen has an exhibition area entitled 'Ecoconciencia' aims to raise public awareness about the importance of electronic scrap recycling to conserve our environment.
Finally, there is a competition area, where we will post the pictures and photographs of different competitions in various panels.
On Sunday April 27 will receive their awards in each competition, selected by a panel appointed by the City.
