Fair Cartagena Youth Associations - a pioneer in this kind of fairs in the region, reached its ninth edition from tomorrow 24th April until Sunday at Pier 27 Alfonso XII, becoming a must for youth associations in the municipality .
This year the Fair will feature the participation of 68 entities, 145 proposed activities during the day.
There will also be thirty activities and 59 permanent stalls.
The budget for this year amounts to 48,000 euros.
These figures have increased over the previous year, reflecting, according to the councilman of Youth, Javier Herrero, broad associations that exists in the municipality.
The Fair aims to bring to society the youth clubs and other interest groups as well as to inform young people and society in general the activities of institutions and promote regular exchange of ideas, good practices and mutual understanding between entities participating youth.
For this reason, the Partnerships Fair will feature the traditional Youth Market, which last year reached 27 posts and this year will increase to 43.
In these positions will be offered for sale, purchase or exchange, basically, handicrafts (jewelry, leather goods, toys, ceramics, etc..) And used items (clothing, books, music, games, movies, decorative items ... .)
The market will begin on April 25.
Also during the morning of Friday 25 is scheduled to visit the Institutes of Secondary Education of the municipality in addition to its participation with booths and activities, will feature performances specially designed for establishments that morning to attend the Fair, for example, visits tours of the Palace Hall, activities in the tent T-LA, dance exhibitions, skateboarding, capoeira ...
to be supplemented by diving baptisms, concerts, parades, among others.
Among the stands that are installed part is dedicated to institutional representation, among which are the stands of the Youth Council, the Department of Education, the Department of Culture, the Institute of Youth in the region of Murcia, the University Politécnica de Cartagena and the Youth Councils of Cartagena and Murcia.
Also this year, due to the designation of 2008 as the 'European Year of Intercultural Dialogue' by the European Commission, the Fair will feature the special participation of groups that work integration and cultural diversity.
In the eighth edition of the Partnerships Fair 51 agencies participated, with 19 ongoing activities throughout the fair and 120 actions proposed by the collective.
To this end, had a budget of 38,000 euros.
