The teams representing the Region of Murcia competed this past weekend in the Championship of Spain IV Aesthetic Group Gymnastics for qualification for participation in the World Championships.
The Rhythm Club Cartagena team in the women category won the bronze medal, which will allow you to participate in the Junior World Championship to be held in Cartagena from 23 to 25 May, and the Senior World Championships to be held in Canada in the month of June.
The senior team since the 2007 season participated in two World Cups in Bulgaria and Prague and the World Championship held in Salou.
It consists of the gymnasts Mar Sánchez, Cristina Martínez, Rosa Blaya, Naiara Gómez, Patricia Tobal, Elena Conesa and Mule Aida Cartagena, María Dolores Pujante and Maria Angeles Garcia Molina de Segura and Paula Carrión de Murcia.
The junior team, meanwhile, also won the silver medal at the second stage of this competition and won a bronze medal in the Cup final in Spain Aesthetic Group Gymnastics 2007, held in Girona, organized by the Spanish Association of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics.
The team consists of eight young people aged 14 to 17, who have put all their enthusiasm and effort in training so that their actions contribute to improving performance in these major sporting events.
The gymnasts that make up the junior team are Cristina Guillamón, Elena Pedroza, Jesica Martínez, Marina Saura, Paola Rios, Mar García, Elisa Rodriguez and Celia Barcelona, coached by Cristina Martínez and Mar Sánchez.
This new sport has the support of the council of Sports City of Cartagena.
These gymnasts are trained thoroughly for four days a week at the Municipal Hall of San Antonio de Cartagena to improve results and climbing the world rankings.
This sport is booming main sports schools located in Cartagena and Molina de Segura, a city that was represented by Innova Club of Molina de Segura with previous experience in the national edition, which won the eleventh place.
Both clubs are affiliated to the Association of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Region of Murcia, which is based in Cartagena, and has worked closely to ensure that sport is implanted in the region and the teams representing the Region of Murcia be in the best conditions for these important competitions.
To do so organized two training courses, in addition to two national judges and one international judge.
