On 1 May will take place in the sports Gómez Meseguer, II Memorial Trophy 'Devesa Hernández', a youth football event organized by the Technical Committee of Arbitrators, will face the Elche CF, the selection of Cartagena and regional selection, which has recently been champion of Spain.
Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez (in the end, one of the leading figures of arbitration Cartagena) wanted to claim, during the presentation ceremony, the figure of the referee, unjustly vilified in many occasions.
The 'Devesa Hernández' wants to remind many of the regional soccer referees who have disappeared, and Juan Gómez, Francisco Ayala, José María Almond and Salvador Molina, among others.
For the main course, the trio of arbitration shall be the same as last Saturday attended the game between Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao: Francisco Borbalán, Raúl and Francisco Cabañero Fuertes.
Joining them will be a number of arbiters of Cartagena.
The matches will be played at the sports city Gómez Meseguer, starting at 10.45 hours.
The first match will take place between Elche and regional selection, and the second and third Cartagena will face the loser in the first place, with the winner ultimately.
The presentation of the event have been, along with Councillor for Sports, Jose Moreno, president of the Association of Arbitrators of Cartagena, Javier Lozano, vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees of the Region of Murcia and Jose Pascual, a member of the organizing committee.
During the press conference have given away the councilman of Sports with two handmade present for kids of Prolam, an organization that helps organize the event.
