The XXIII International Poetry Prize Antonio Oliver Belmas organized by the Popular Culture Department of the City of Cartagena and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, has published the bases of the twentieth third edition of the Prize, worth 12,000 euros, Mayte Defruc commemorative sculpture and publication of the work by the Regional Editor.
The International Award is among the first awards for poetry written in Castilian and the jury consists of the most important voices in the literary world today: Blanca Andreu, Eloy Sánchez Rosillo, Luis Alberto de Cuenca, Antonio Porpetto, Salvador García Jiménez and Vicente Gallego.
The original deadline will be open from April 23 to October 15, 2008.
In November it will release the author deserved to hold this award and presented the book won the previous edition, which this year went to the renowned and prestigious poet Miguel Angel Velasco with the poetry collection "Trasluz Memory ¿.
The design of the bases as in previous editions has been done by the teacher of drawing and painting of the People's University Miguel Navarro Salinas.
