The group of Christian Youth of the parish of San Diego was awarded in 2007 with Clara Award Henares, South Solidarity Youth, which will be presented on Thursday, May 29 at a ceremony to be held at 20, 00 hours in the Cultural Hall of Caja Murcia (Murcia doors).
This is a prize that works in solidarity with the city of Cartagena, which has fallen on a group that has nearly fifteen years, acting both in Murcia and in our city, with activities aimed primarily at children and young people immigrant neighborhoods in need, aged between 4 and 16 years.
For Clara Henares Foundation has also been proud that one of the key members of the Young Christian Teijón Enry, was awarded last April by the Autonomous Community as "Youth of the Year ', with their values of solidarity.
TRIBUTE TO A PRIZE FIGHTER
Henares Clara was born on February 19, 1983.
He studied high school at the Instituto Elcano, Cartagena and Oklahoma (USA.).
He finished the first course of Ancient History at the University of Granada.
In that year he was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer that took him home for four years by hospitals in Murcia and Barcelona.
It was in this city, where Clara met the NGO called Canvi (cancer and life), a project launched later in Cartagena (Cartagena Canvi) a few weeks before he died, May 9, 2006.
Clara was cooperating in the San Rafael Hospital (Granada) and the Naval Cartagena, until his death.
After the summer of 2006, published a tribute book: Clara lives.
The thousand copies sold out in just a few short weeks.
Clara embodied many of his experiences in hundreds of pages that are preserved in his diary has been published, bolting in the spring of 2008.
