On the occasion of the celebration of 'Europe Day', the City of Cartagena has joined the celebration of the events organized by the European Commission and the Member States with a series of activities aiming to contribute to forging a European identity based on values, common history and culture.
To achieve this purpose the Department of Youth and European Projects Office of the City, under the Deputy Mayor, and with the collaboration of the Ministry of External Relations and Development Cooperation of the Ministry of the Presidency of the Autonomous Region Murcia, have organized a series of activities aimed at the citizens of Cartagena.
Among them, the call for a contest called "9 May, Europe Day: In the same direction.
What do you know Europe? ", Aimed at students in order to perform work that is reflected in their knowledge about Europe.
It is promoting the idea of Europe among young people.
In this activity involved four schools in the municipality of Cartagena: IES Las Salinas del Mar Menor, IES Los Molinos, IES The IES Bohio and San Isidoro.
Work results of the competition will be exhibited in the Youth Space in the Department of Youth from 6 to 16 May.
Furthermore, this morning is installed information booth next to the monument Icue, where he has delivered various promotional materials and information on this celebration.
The booth will be open from 10 to 14 hours, and between 17 and 20 hours and attended by two participants in the Youth Community Action program run by the Youth Space in the Department of Youth.
This building will associate coordinating actions on the street.
