The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, along with Councillor Male, Rosario Montero, inaugurated this morning the Seventh Exhibition of Women's Associations of workshops and exposure to the Department of Women, which will be open from 9, 10 and May 11 with hours from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00 hours.
It involves 45 associations of women from the city of Cartagena, which show the work carried out throughout the year.
In addition, the Fair includes an exhibition of the work done throughout the course of the ten workshops conducted by the Department of Women (paint, glass, rolls, restoration, upholstery ...).
Pilar Barreiro has highlighted the work of these women from the associations, many of them coming to make this leisure activity in a career.
For his part, Councillor for Women, Rosario Montero, said that about 500 women have participated this year in the ten workshops launched by the council, most notably the restoration, which each year is more accepted, and the glass, which was launched a couple of years.
Some of these houses offered for sale its products, such as the Vincentian, as economic recovery is aimed at groups of women at high risk.
